Titus Nemeth is a typographer, a student, and a teacher. He specialises in multi-script typeface design with emphasis on the Arabic script and works as an independent typeface designer and consultant with international clients such as the BBC, Brill, Fontsmith, TIRO and WinSoft.
In addition to his practice, Titus is a lecturer at the ESAD in Amiens, France, and regularly teaches at the MATD Reading and its TDi summer school. Since 2010 Titus researches aspects of the history of Arabic typography as a PhD candidate at the University of Reading, UK.
Titus studied Graphic Design at die Graphische in Vienna, Austria, and holds an MA with Distinction in Typeface Design from Reading. He pursued research at the post-diplôme of the ESAD, studied Arabic in Syria, and taught typography as an Assistant Professor at the VCUQ in Doha and the ESAV Marrakesh.
